Thinking About Car Hire Insurance

February 28th, 2011 by ama in general car insurance

When travelling abroad and going for car rentals you will find that one of the first questions that the company will ask you is, do you want to take out insurance with this? You will find that when people are being asked if they want insurance with their car hire they will often say no and this is because it adds to the costs of getting insurance, it always high and a lot of the time people are not prepared to pay for these high costs.

Worth It?

Well considering a lot of people out there crash their cars or suffer minor scrapes every single year when driving about it is safe to say that you might actually want to at least rethink what you are doing when it comes to getting out insurance. Even if someone else happens to dink the car when you aren't even in the vehicle you are going to end up paying out for it which could cost you hundreds if you don't take out the insurance.

Is It Really That Much?

When looking into it you are only really adding on an additional £50-60 which is really not much at all when thinking about the costs that could come from the car if you don't get out the insurance.

Thinking About Your Own Country?

If you are thinking about car hire for your own country a lot of the time then it is safe to say that insurance is going to cost you a lot. You will do well by at least looking intovan leasing or something similar to this. You could even rent out things like a Sat Nav as this is likely to save you even more.

In the end the option is there if you wish to take insurance, it is always recommended as if something does happen it will save you money in the long run.
